Bike Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Committee's duties are to serve as a citizen forum for discussion and recommendations of improvements to existing facilities and planning of new projects concerning safe access for cyclists, pedestrians and runner in the City of Lafayette. It shall also foster and promote safety programs, events, and education for all forms of transportation and users.

Economic Development Commission

The Economic Development Commission is charged with financing economic development or pollution control facilities and programs that promote the creation and retention of employment and business opportunities in the City of Lafayette.

Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission is intended for the promotion of economic growth of designated historic districts and all other parts of the City of Lafayette through the encouragement of tourism, business, residential and commercial investment and to foster civic pride in those historic areas.

Parking Commission 

The Parking Commission's duties are to establish all parking rules and special parking zones within the City of Lafayette.

Redevelopment Commission 

The Redevelopment Commission is responsible for the rehabilitation and development of land and property within the City of Lafayette for a use that is in the best social and economic interest of the City and its residents.

Redevelopment Authority 

The Redevelopment Authority serves as the governing body for land acquisitions and infrastructure project bonding and institutes the process to establish new economic development districts and tax increment financing districts.

Lafayette UEA/X-District Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association

Its mission is to enhance, revitalize, and encourage the businesses and neighborhoods of the enterprise zone through partnerships, incentives and cooperation.
